Required for September 2021. The Academy Council of this outstanding, high achieving and oversubscribed Catholic Voluntary Academy wish to appoint an enthusiastic and well qualified graduate teacher to teach Religious Education. NQTs and trainee teachers achieving QTS by July 2021 are welcome to apply.
Religious Education is central to the life of the school and is taught across all key stages and ability ranges. The Catholic ethos of the school is very important and is supported by all staff, feeder primary schools and local parishes.
St. Mary’s is a popular and highly successful school situated on the North West fringe of Leeds, close to the Yorkshire Dales. The school is part of the Bishop Wheeler Catholic Academy Trust which consists of the high school and 9 primary schools. The July 2019 Section 48 inspection and November 2014 Ofsted inspection judged St Mary’s as an outstanding school. We became a Teaching School in October 2015 and a National Support School in September 2017.
