Teacher of Religious Education
To deliver an appropriate and differentiated curriculum for students according to a designated timetable.
To monitor and support the academic and personal progress and development of students as a teacher and as a Tutor.
To create stimulating learning experiences that provide students with the opportunity to develop their individual potential.
To make a significant contribution to raising standards of student aspirations, achievement and attainment.
Essential educational requirements
Graduate in a degree subject relevant to the post
Essential skills and experience
Ability to plan and deliver varied and relevant learning experiences for students in secondary education
Ability to work well with colleagues and students.
Ability to engage and motivate the young people in their care.
Ability to use a range of data to monitor and analyse student progress
Effective communication skills both written and oral
Good ICT skills and able to use relevant applications
Knowledge and understanding of the area of the curriculum and assessment relevant to the post.
Understanding of the process of Appraisal.
Understanding of successful behaviour management strategies
Understanding of a teacher’s duty of care and safeguarding.
