Teacher of Religious Education job summary
The Governors of this over-subscribed Roman Catholic high school are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated teacher who is totally committed to ensuring the young people they teach receive the best possible Religious Education. The successful applicant and graduate of Religious Studies/Theology, will join our core Religious Education department from September 2021 and will be teaching up to and including GCSE and A level. You will be joining a large, friendly, cohesive and motivated department where your own development will be as important as the development of the young people you will teach. This well-resourced department now seeks to continue to build on its success with the appointment of a new team member.
Religious Education is studied by all students to GCSE, and remains a popular choice at A level. We would encourage applications from committed Catholics but all applications are welcomed and considered on their individual merits. All staff happily contribute to the Christian ethos which is the cornerstone of St Peter’s.
The successful candidate will share in our vision for Catholic Education as part of an experienced Religious Education department, which is dedicated to raising academic standards for all students whilst supporting the spiritual and moral development of the whole person. You will be required to maintain the high academic standards of the department, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and an infectious passion for this subject
