What skills and experience we're looking for

The Department

You will be joining a supportive and dedicated Humanities team who passionately believe that every child should “enjoy and achieve” in school.The department consists of RE, History and Geography at key stages 3 and 4, and RE, Criminology, Law, Psychology and Sociology in the sixth form.As well as striving for academic excellence in school, the department runs a wide range of co-curricular trips to enhance understanding of individual subjects, as well as to improve pupils’ life experiences.

You will have

  • Qualified teacher status
  • The ability to teach RE at KS3, KS4 and KS5
  • The ability to motivate students and achieve excellent results
  • Excellent organisational and ICT skills
  • An awareness of effective assessment and use of data to track student progress
  • The capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • A passion for the subject and the ability to share this with young people.
  • Commitment to supporting extra and co-curricular activities
