TEACHER OF RELIGIOUS STUDIES

Main Scale/UPS

Required from January 2022

Cromwell Community College, a member of the Active Learning Trust, is a good school which aspires to be outstanding. We look to our high achieving Religious Studies department to be a driving force towards this aspiration.

Religious Studies is an experienced department, popular with pupils at both GCSE and A-Level. Pupils enjoy their lessons and staff are hardworking, enthusiastic and committed. This is an excellent time to join the department and support the college’s drive to become outstanding.

We are a popular, oversubscribed and successful school having undergone a recent expansion of the secondary phase by 1FE. We are also the first all-through (4-18) school in Cambridgeshire and the Religious Studies department work with colleagues from Early Years and Year One to ensure a smooth transition across the key stages for our pupils. We believe that it is imperative that we ensure that our pupils access a curriculum which is relevant and ambitious throughout their journey at Cromwell and this is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work collaboratively with the primary phase in addition to further improve GCSE outcomes.

If you are enthusiastic, ambitious and passionate about Religious Studies, recognise its importance for the development of all pupils, and will strive to provide excellent results in our already successful department, we would like to hear from you. Cromwell Community College offers the chance to join a strong and experienced team and for you to develop your skills and enhance your career development through a wealth of CPD opportunities which is a particular strength of the Trust.

The Academy and the Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. We expect all staff to actively share this commitment. All appointments will be subject to the taking of satisfactory references and enhanced criminal record clearance in line with the need to create and maintain a safe culture in our recruitment.
