Welcome to Grace Academy Darlaston, where our vision is to develop well educated, considerate and caring citizens with a strong sense of values who will succeed in, and contribute to modern society. As a part of Tove Learning Trust, Grace Academy ‘Darlaston is one of ten Primary and Secondary schools who work collaboratively to ensure that each and every one of our students receives the best education possible. The Grace Family is built on a Christian ethos embodied in our core values of: Grace, Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Potential.

At Grace Academy Darlaston, we believe that excellent teaching, support, fantastic facilities and outstanding enrichment activities combine to give our students the best possible preparation for their adult life. Working closely with our local primary schools, we develop relationships with our prospective students before they attend, including numerous events and activities which enable them to make friends, look forward to joining us and settle in quickly when they arrive.

As well as a strong emphasis on academic and examination achievement, an extensive choice of extra-curricular lessons, enrichment activities and clubs give students the chance to explore their creativity or acquire a qualification that will impress future employers. These range from football and rugby, trampolining, basketball, STEM and our Duke of Edinburgh challenges.

An increasing number of students choose to continue their learning journey in our vibrant Post 16 area, which also attracts young people from the wider community. Identified by their smart business dress, students work in a dedicated annex of the academy that incorporates silent study areas, a computer suite and social spaces where students can study A-level subjects, specialised vocational courses or a combination of the two. Our aim is to provide students with the tools they need to progress successfully to university, further training or high quality employment.

We have an extensive careers and enterprise programme which includes inspirational workshops, bespoke advice and guidance as well as visits to universities and work placements with local employers. Students interact with our many local and national business partners.

The relationships we have with parents and carers is a crucial to supporting and enabling students to succeed, and we will look to work closely with you throughout your child’s time with us. We welcome visits from both existing and new students & their families, and we welcome any opportunities you may have to come and see us and what we do during the school day.

We welcome applications from students within and outside of our catchment area, particularly those living in Walsall and Wolverhampton, and these should be submitted to Walsall Council, or your home Local Authority. Parents who wish to move their child to Grace Academy during the academic year should apply online to the Local Authority, or apply directly to us within school.
