What skills and experience we're looking for
The governors are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher of Religious Studies who has the drive, skills and enthusiasm to join our successful, highly motivated and supportive Religious Studies and Psychology department. We are looking for someone with passion for the subject, who is creative and will support improving outcomes inReligious Studies.
The selected candidate will be an inspirational classroom practitioner and actively contribute to the extra-curricular provision offered within the school. At Maghull High School all Key Stage 3 students have one-hour lessons per week and five per cycle if they opt to take GCSE Edexcel Specification B Religious Studies in Years 10 and 11. Religious Studies is also offered in Sixth Form where A Level students have nine hours per cycle. The appointed person will be expected to teach the full 11-18 age range in Religious Studies.
