Teacher of Religious Studies job summary

The Bishop Wand Church of England School seeks to appoint a well-motivated and capable teacher of Religious Studies.

The right candidate should be able to engage and inspire students to learn about and understand the crucial role of religion in our world. Applications from Newly Qualified Teachers looking for their first post or more experienced teachers looking for a career move are equally welcome.

Our School has a thriving Religious Studies Faculty and this is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and friendly teaching team. In March 2015 our School achieved an “Outstanding” judgement following our SIAMS inspection which is testament to our commitment to our School ethos of ‘Realising God-given Potential’ in each and every student. We were also inspected by Ofsted in February 2013 and achieved “Good” on all measures. We are not resting on our laurels and are already on our journey to becoming an outstanding School.

The successful candidate will be an innovative practitioner who can motivate students to achieve excellent results and be willing to work as part of a team. In return we can offer you a friendly and supportive environment with excellent professional development opportunities.
