Teacher of Religious Studies

We seek an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Religious Studies with the ability to deliver effective teaching and learning at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will need to have the drive to achieve positive results and outcomes and will have the ability to inspire, unite and motivate students, staff, parents/carers and the wider community. You will also need have excellent communication skills, be a strong team player and be ‘Dedicated to Excellence’. This post would suit a newly or recently qualified teacher, whilst consideration will also be given to more experienced teachers.

Essential educational requirements
Qualified Teacher Status
Essential skills and experience
Successful experience of teaching Religious Studies.
A knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 National Curriculum for R.S.
Expertise in assessing R.S. at both Key Stage 3 and 4.
Experience of working with gifted and talented pupils.
A working knowledge of assessment and target setting.
Experience of working with pupils of special educational needs.
Strong interpersonal, written and oral skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Good Health and Attendance Record.
Ability to motivate pupils.
