The Academy is led by Peter Knight, Principal, who has led the Academy on a journey of rapid improvement and has ensured that we recently secured a ‘Good’ Ofsted judgement in October 2021. In light of this constant improvement, Oasis Academy Brislington will be oversubscribed in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 by September 2022. Due to this growth, we are now recruiting for posts to start in September 2022.
The Social Sciences team is passionate about delivering a stimulating curriculum through engaging lessons which meet our expectation of “Every Lesson, Every Day, Good or Better”. The successful candidate, who is a strong classroom practitioner with excellent subject knowledge who is able to deliver at both KS3 and KS4, will be a committed individual able to inspire and motivate our young people. This appointment will also be an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to develop outstanding subject knowledge working under a strong Subject Lead who has developed an exciting and fully resourced Humanities curriculum in conjunction with our National Lead Practitioners. You should be passionate about RPE and be secure in your determination to enthuse students, leading to the highest possible outcomes.
Staff are very well supported in the Academy with weekly meetings focused on Teaching and Learning which are both vibrant and stimulating. Through your line manager you will receive high quality individual support and challenge to ensure that your teaching career develops further and you grow as an outstanding subject lead.
