The Portsmouth Academy is seeking to appoint a dedicated and skilled part time Teacher of Science to join our teamfromJanuary2025.
You will join a committed team of Science Teachers and will be instrumental in providing an outstanding education at the Academy. The successful candidate will be a creative and dynamic practitioner who enthuses and engages students of all abilities and ages,setting high expectations to help every student reach their full potential.
This post is suitable for either an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
You will benefit from a vast support network including senior leaders, fellow teachers within the school and across the South Hub and our Trust.

- Be a qualified Teacher of Science and able to deliver to KS3 & KS4
- Be passionate about teaching and learning and improving the life chances of our students
- Good or Outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour
- Be able to plan and deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum
- High expectations for yourself and the students to ensure that all achieve their very best
- An aspiring leader of learning and happy to grasp exciting CPD opportunities
- Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of our schools
