We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join our highly motivated, dedicated and committed department. This is a full time, maternity cover position, which would suit an NQT or an experienced colleague. St Ivo Academy is one of the largest Academies in Cambridgeshire. Awarded ‘Good’ by Ofsted across all areas in our summer 2016 inspection our school is simply a great community in which to work and thrive.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual who will engage, challenge and motivate our students. A comprehensive induction and support package is available for all new staff.

Science at St Ivo sees good levels of achievement at all key stages (our GCSE results in summer 2019 included 62% grade 4+ for Combined Science, and 94% of Triple Science grades at 4+). There is also a large uptake for single Sciences at A-Level, where results are again well above the national average (including 56% A*B in Chemistry summer 2019). Our departmental staff are all provided with the opportunity to teach across the full age and ability range, and expected to specialise post-16.
