What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors of Abbeyfield School are seeking to make the appointment of a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Science, on a maternity cover contract. The successful applicant will have the exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team who are fully committed to ensuring all staff and students fulfil their potential and continue to enjoy enviable success.

KS4 students study the AQA GCSE Science (Trilogy) qualification with one Triple Science group studying AQA GCSE Biology, GCSE Chemistry and GCSE Physics. In September 2018 we introduced BTEC Health and Social Care Level 1 as an option.

The department offers AQA A level courses in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

The successful applicant will have the exciting opportunity to work within a highly motivated team who are fully committed to developing staff to fulfil their potential.

ECTs are welcome to apply for these posts and will benefit greatly from a supportive and enthusiastic team. All our staff receive professional CPD opportunities much of which draws on our links with the North Wiltshire Schools Teaching Alliance and Challenge Partner links.
