At Challney, our science team enjoys a diverse range of talents covering multiple specialisms and plays host to some of the school’s strongest teachers. The team has a robust tradition of distributing responsibilities and cultivating talent and has a consistent history of promoting from within when it comes to leadership opportunities.

The department is housed across our recently renovated S corridor and our new SEA block. Each classroom is equipped a full laboratory with the complete range of experimental equipment available from the Science Technical Support team.

The school’s well-established science team have consistently secured excellent GCSE results over the last five years. We provide a strong culture of support and care for our staff.

The successful candidate will demonstrate real enthusiasm for teaching science and a willingness to work to make an already established department even stronger with full CPD and ECF support available. Purpose of the post
