We are seeking to appoint a committed, driven and inspiring Teacher of Science (all subject specialists welcomed) to join our academy in September 2024 preferably. We provide exceptional opportunities to develop the unique interests and talents of our students, and to prepare them for life in modern Britain. Strong relationships and first-class support across the community ensure that students are safe, happy and successful.
You will be operating from a purpose built and well equipped Science block, our team consists of a group of talented specialist teachers and a full-time technician.
We recognise that Science education does not stop when students leave the classroom door. We have a number of strong partnerships with local businesses and other organisations who add to our offer outside of the classroom. These include strong links with our partners at ExxonMobil, who run the local oil refinery. Trips and visits are commonplace. For example, recently a group of our Year 8 students became real-life engineers for the day and were successful in winning the Institution of Engineering and Technology's Faraday Challenge.
New Forest Academy is a successful and popular 11-16 community school adjacent to the New Forest National Park and we are proud to serve the South Waterside community in Hampshire.
