What skills and experience we're looking for

We wish to appoint an outstanding Science teacher as Second in Department. The post holder will work with the Head of Department and the team to enhance and develop the teaching of Science across the School. The second in department will also take a lead role in developing the teaching and learning of Key Stage 3 and 4.

The successful candidate must be highly motivated, demonstrate continuous reflection and a commitment to self-improvement. They must be willing to actively participate in the co-curricular life of the department and that of the school. The candidate should expect to teach across the full range of ages and abilities, delivering excellent lessons and working to develop the provision offered for the students.

Richard Lander School is a popular school, over subscribed in several year groups. We have 1495 students on roll and this number is growing.
