The Discovery Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join our team of highly motivated professionals who are working collaboratively to raise standards and expectations at all levels throughout Key Stages 3 and 4. Essential educational requirements
Qualified Teacher Status.
A balanced programme of relevant courses undertaken.
Essential skills and experience
Training and experience across the secondary phase in specialised subject area.
Experience of successful management of change.
Proven effectiveness as a teacher.
Experience in the practical application of learning.
Ability to support teaching across the Academy.
Ability in understanding of good assessment and its implications for planning and teaching.
Evidence of successfully implementing strategies for raising standards.
Knowledge of assessment across vocational and G.C.S. E. Specialist subject(s).
Relocation allowance of £2,000.
