A fantastic opportunity has arisen within The Castle School, Taunton, for a Teacher of Science, covering maternity leave, who will develop curiosity, excitement and passion for Science in all students to join our dynamic, innovative faculty from September 2024 until July 2025, or whenever the postholder returns.

Full and part time (0.8 FTE) applications are welcome.

You should be a committed and high-quality teacher wishing to join an extremely effective and supportive department. ECTs and experienced teachers are equally welcome to apply.

What the school offers its staff

The Science Department is the largest in the school with nine full-time teaching staff and two well qualified and experienced Science Technicians. Lessons take place in fully equipped laboratories, five of which have been newly refurbished.

We can offer you: An opportunity to work in an experienced and supportive team from whom you can learn, develop and grow; a friendly, busy and dynamic workplace where each day is different from the last; a competitive salary; wider opportunities to be involved across our Trust; an energised and professional working environment.
