Teacher of Science (£5k Golden Hello) job summary

Hurstmere School is seeking to appoint a highly effective Teacher of Science to join the Science Department, to start from 27th August 2026.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and practical Sciencve lessons that inspire curiosity, support student progress, and help learners develop a strong understanding of science.

This is a full time, permanent role, paid on the Outer London STPC Main/Upper Pay Range, dependant on experience. For the right candidate, we will also consider an additional TLR2c payment of £3,527.

The school is offering a recruitment incentive of £5,000 which is split into the following payments - £2,500 subject to the successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, and a further £2,500 to be paid upon one year service.

This post would suit an experienced or Early Career Teacher with good prospects for career development.
