Teacher of Science job summary

We wish to appoint for January 2023 a lively and talented teacher of Science with the ability to teach one or more of Biology, Physics or Chemistry to A level standard at this popular and successful 13–18 comprehensive school. The successful applicant will be expected to teach across the whole-ability range and Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level. Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and those who are newly qualified. The successful candidate will join an outstanding and forward-thinking faculty where progress and attainment are significantly above national average.

We are looking for an outstanding teacher with infectious enthusiasm who is able to communicate clearly, is sensitive to the needs of young adults and has the ability to use initiative and vision to encourage others. We expect the person to work as part of a team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life.
