Teacher of Science and Animal Care job summary

MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

Archbishop Sentamu Academy is a rapidly improving academy at an exciting stage in its pursuit of excellence.

We are currently looking for a talented, enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Science and Animal Care to join us in April 2020. We welcome applications from NQTs and experienced teachers alike, we just ask that you are as ambitious for yourself as you will be for our brilliant students.

We want you to join us on our journey to ensuring our students achieve the best outcomes possible. Our results have risen for the fourth year running and we have a highly successful sixth form. All of our staff are TEEP trained and we have great opportunities to develop your career.

The successful candidate will be able to teach all aspects of Science at KS3/KS4 and be able to encourage and enthuse students to achieve their full potential. We currently teach the AQA suite of science GCSEs and welcome applicants who like to collaborate and share good practice.

Animal Care is currently offered at all key stages and has expanded due to its success. Previous experience of teaching animal care is not required but would be advantageous. Experience of handling and caring for animals is essential.
