What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified teacher who can support the delivery of Science, as a Chemistry or Biology specialist, and can also support the delivery of our Health & Life Sciences specialism. You will work alongside the staff team to further develop a centre of excellence focusing on Health & Life Sciences along with Engineering & Manufacturing. Under the direction of the Curriculum Director you will support the delivery of a range of qualifications. These include: Combined and Triple Science GCSEs, Level 2 Cambridge National in Health & Social Care at KS4, A-Levels in Biology and Chemistry, BTEC Level 3 in Applied Science and BTEC L3 in Health & Social Care at Post-16.

You will be a highly skilled practitioner who understands the challenges of educating 13-19 year olds in an employer-led technology-rich environment. Effective partnership working is absolutely critical to the UTC’s success. We also welcome applications from newly qualified teachers who have the skills and attributes to develop their expertise within our unique environment.
