The successful candidate will be someone who will supplement and enhance a strong established and supportive Science department.

Due to our increasing PAN and student numbers, we are excited to offer the opportunity to join our academy as our staff body continues to grow and support our larger year groups of 220 students. This is an exciting time to join our academy as we celebrate our 2022 Progress 8 score of +0.83 and await our next Ofsted inspection in which inspectors believe that “the school could be judged outstanding” (Ofsted: November 2021).

You will be a dynamic and forward-thinking individual, with a real drive to enhance students’ experience of science in the classroom. We are seeking an ambitious professional with the ability to teach across the key stages, and join an academy which is dynamic and inspiring, creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students. As a key member of the team, you will play a lead role in curriculum development alongside progressing and enhancing the teaching practice of others within the academy and beyond.

The department is part of a well led, supportive Science team; there is a strong commitment to improving standards. The appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and be supported by our teaching and learning team, Lead Practitioners and a strong SLT.
