We wish to appoint a talented and inspiring Teacher of Science with a specialism in A-Level Chemistry to join a large, exciting and successful Science Department in our diverse and very popular school. The progress and attainment of students at GCSE are impressive and the subject is thriving at the school with a large number of A Level classes. All science lessons are taught in well-equipped laboratories with interactive whiteboards. Essential educational requirements
Appropriate science degree.
QTS or currently completing their teaching training.
Essential skills and experience
Is an excellent classroom practitioner with an understanding of good teaching and how children learn with experience of teaching Science. Is keen to develop teaching and learning.
Demonstrates high level of professionalism at all times and is a role model for others.
Is able to communicate effectively and positively with all stakeholders.
Is an enthusiastic Chemist with the ability to each the other sciences to at least KS3.
An understanding of current developments in the National Curriculum regarding Science.
This is a main professional scale. Would suit NQT or experienced teacher. Admission into Year 7 is offered to children of teaching staff who have had 2 or more years’ service at MHCHS.More on how to apply
