Teacher of Science – Chemistry preferred (Temporary Maternity Cover)

 

Do you have an enthusiasm to expand students’ scientific knowledge and conceptual understanding through the specific disciplines of Chemistry?  

 

Do you wish to play a key role in developing students’ understanding of the nature, processes, and methods of science through different types of science enquiries to help them answer scientific questions about the world around them? 

 

If you are a motivational teacher with excellent subject knowledge and the desire and commitment to raise the achievement of all students through caring, come and join our successful Science team.

Temporary Maternity Cover   

Required for 1st December 2024/ 1st January 2025  (tbc)

To be successful you will need to: 


  • Have skills in communication, collaboration, listening, adaptability, empathy, and patience. 
  • Be qualified to teach Science (Chemistry preferred) at KS3, KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential). 
  • Possess outstanding teaching ability 
  • Think creatively to anticipate and solve problems 
  • Embody the values of ‘Achievement through Caring’ 
  • Contribute fully to school life 
  • Have high expectations of yourself and be a role model to others 
  • Be determined to play a pivotal part in the Science Department
