• Has excellent subject knowledge and communication skills
• Can contribute to the teaching of broad, balanced and stimulating courses across our full age and ability range, assessing, recording, reporting and applying intervention strategies as appropriate. Take an active part in curriculum and enrichment development in the department and the school
• Will be a committed Form Tutor, building a positive relationship with tutees and parents
• Ensure there is safe, stimulating and effective learning environment with good, quality displays and that all equipment is maintained in sound working order
• Will maintain all professional standards for teachers; uphold and implement all school policies
Essential educational requirements
Postgraduate qualification in subject area or combined education with first degree
QTS or QTLS

• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
• Demonstrate robustness and resilience
• Successful teaching outcomes (or teaching practice in the case of a newly qualified applicant)
• Willing to be responsible for your own professional development and to disseminate best practice to colleagues
