What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join a successful Science Department as the KS3 Lead. This will include:-
- Ensuring the curriculum coverage, continuity and progression in the subjects within KS3 Science for all students.
- Undertake regular KS3 work sampling to ensure that schemes of work are being followed.
- Ensure that there is effective administration for internal examinations.
- Establish and implement clear practices for assessing, recording and reporting on KS3 studentachievement.
- Coordinate interventions for KS3 students.
- Ensure that information about students’ achievements in previous classes and schools is usedeffectively to secure good progress in the subject at KS3.
- To explore opportunities for competitions, trips and visits to enrich the science experience of allstudents
