Key Responsibilities Include:Teaching Excellence:
- Craft captivating courses and meticulously plan engaging lessons that cater to the diverse educational needs of our pupils.
- Bring science to life in the classroom through interactive and innovative teaching methods.
- Assess, record, and report on pupil development, progress, and achievements in alignment with school policies.
- Collaborate with pupils and parents to set short-term learning targets, ensuring every student reaches their full potential.
Guidance and Support:
- Foster the well-being and progress of each pupil in your care, offering guidance on educational and social matters.
- Maintain open communication with parents, providing insights and resources for continued support and growth.
- Record and report on the personal and social needs of pupils when necessary, ensuring a holistic approach to education.
Assessment and Professional Development:
- Provide comprehensive assessments, reports, and references to support pupil development.
- Participate in appraisal and performance management frameworks to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Continuously review and refine teaching methods, actively engaging in further training and professional development opportunities.
Discipline and Safety:
- Uphold discipline and ensure the health and safety of pupils both on school premises and during authorised activities.
- Contribute to the smooth functioning of the school by attending meetings, covering for absent teachers, and participating in pastoral care activities.
Qualifications:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Relevant degree in Science or Education.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering outstanding science education.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for nurturing young minds.
