We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and highly effective teacher of Science. Applicants should have a proven track record of success and be committed to further improving teaching and learning as well as student progress within Science. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wishes to develop in a supportive, well-resourced and exciting environment. The vacancy is suitable for experienced or NQT (ECT) candidates.
The successful candidate will join a well-established, thriving Science Department where high standards are expected of staff as well as pupils, but in a lively and supportive atmosphere. It is important that our staff are enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate about their specialism. We want to benefit fully from your skills, personality and knowledge. You must be able to inspire and enthuse students through your teaching. An engaging personality, attention to detail, a creative approach to the delivery of the curriculum and strategies to enable all students to make or exceed their levels of progress are all essential in order to accelerate student progress and promote the enjoyment of the subject.
The role will include teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 across year groups 7 to 11. You will work closely with the Subject Leader for Science, and the department, to enhance provision of learning. You will collaborate with the Department to support the development of schemes of work to ensure the curriculum is engaging to all learners, alongside supporting student attainment, well-being and engagement within the wider school.
You will also inspire and support learners to achieve to the best of their ability and build a lifelong love of Science.
Our recent Ofsted inspection (January 2022) highlighted many strengths in our school with a clear focus for further improvement. We are oversubscribed and also benefitting from a Primary school, that is part of our Multi Academy Trust, locating on our site from June 2022. This is a very exciting time to join our school as we continue our journey to become an outstanding school.
