Role: Teacher of Science (with the ability to deliver general or Biology/Chemistry or Physics units on the Applied Science qualifications.)

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, highly motivated and specialist teacher of science to support our vision to transform the lives of young people in North Sheffield.Applied Science at levels 2 and 3 are extremely popular subjects, with high proportions of learners progressing into higher education and related careers. We also offer Biology at GCSE to support students to access nursing and midwifery courses at university.
We are looking for someone who:
- is an inspirational teacher with a strong occupational/ academic background
- has the ambition to develop their career through Continuing Professional Development
- can work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the success of the department and the sixth form on our journey to ‘Outstanding’
- can use their expertise and industry experience to deliver a high-quality curriculum
- can develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours of our learners in readiness for their next steps into higher education, training and employment
- has a proven track record of achieving good or outstanding results, though we also welcome applications from ECTs
