Teacher of Science - Maternity Cover (.5) job summary

The Governors of this successful Catholic Academy are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well qualified and dynamic part time teacher of Science (preferably Chemistry) for September 2019 to cover a period of maternity absence.
The successful candidate will join a large, well-resourced Science department with supportive teaching staff. At GCSE, both Triple Science and Double Award GCSE’s are taught; it would be desirable for the successful candidate to teach to A level.
The school is a STEM hub school and the successful candidate would be able to contribute to the extra-curricular activities of the Science department. The post would suit either an NQT or an experienced teacher.

The Catholic High School, Chester is a Catholic Voluntary Academy situated on the western outskirts of Chester approximately one mile from the city centre. It is an 11 to 18 Roman Catholic mixed comprehensive school with over 900 students including a thriving Sixth Form.
