The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well qualified and ambitious Teacher of Science as a maternity cover, to join a vibrant and happy school where staff are committed to raising student attainment.
St Cuthbert Mayne School is a Joint Roman Catholic & Church of England School that welcomes all students from across Torbay and South Devon regardless of their faith background. Our school community is made up of students and staff from Christian and non-Christian backgrounds.
There are currently 909 on roll, including 138 students in the Sixth Form. The teaching accommodation is of mixed age but well-resourced and maintained.
It is an exciting time to be joining the school as we start the next phase of our journey to provide an outstanding, inspirational and challenging Christian education for all students. Our children only get one chance!
The latest Ofsted Inspection in November 2016 graded the school to be good, in every category. The statutory inspection of Anglican/Catholic Schools also conducted in November, graded the school to be good in all areas. Both reports can be found on the website www.st-cuthbertmayne.co.uk.
The ability to teach Chemistry would be an advantage as well as teaching up to Key Stage 5.

We support all students in considering to stay on for A Levels.
