Job description

We are looking to appoint an exciting and creative teacher to join our experienced team of Science teachers. Applicants must be passionate about teaching Science and demonstrate a strong subject appreciation . This position would be an excellent opportunity for a teacher to learn and develop and would be suitable for an NQT as well as a more experienced teacher.
Applicants must be able to teach all ages up to GCSE.
Being an all-through school, our team of secondary and primary practitioners, deliver a broad and balanced curriculum for our small, community school.

Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject

Essential qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status

Essential skills and experience

Successful experience of teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Good subject knowledge of Science to GCSE standard and an
interest in developing Primary experience
Good understanding of teaching and assessment methodology
Good knowledge and understanding of recent curriculum developments in Science.
Experience of tracking , mentoring and intervention strategies that impact on achievement.
The ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities to achieve the very best of which they are capable
The ability to use data to identify trends/target students and take appropriate action
The ability to plan and deliver exciting lessons at each school phase
The ability to work successfully with colleagues from other Science disciplines and the wider ‘through school’ team
The insight and understanding to be an effective tutor
Excellent ICT skills and administrative skills
