We are looking for a well-qualified, inspiring and forward-thinking Science teacher to join our thriving Science Department on a temporary contract to cover maternity leave.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver outstanding lessons across the ability range up to GCSE.
  • Be able to inspire, motivate and challenge students ensuring all students achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Be able to demonstrate and model excellence in the classroom.
  • Have excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Science.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and share the school's vision and ethos.
  • Have an ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
  • Have a commitment to safeguarding.

The Burgate School and Sixth Form converted to a Single Academy Trust in May 2011.
