Students at Newton Abbot College enjoy science and achieve good results at Key Stage 4 and 5. The Science department is a well-organised and highly motivated group of teachers who share their experience and expertise to ensure that every student gets a great education in a subject that can explain and change the world.

Our Science Team consists of ten teaching staff (including the Subject Team Leader), one Science specific Teaching Assistant and two Science Technicians. Our Science teachers are established practitioners who work closely together and are committed to inspiring the next generation of scientists.

We are seeking an exceptional individual with enthusiasm, ambition and strong collaborative skills to join our Science department in the next phase of its development and beyond. Your challenge will be to teach high quality and engaging lessons, leading to high levels of student progress.

Are you:
- an inspirational, dedicated and forward-thinking classroom practitioner
- able to deliver excellent Science lessons at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 (A Level)
- committed to raising standards
- creative, conscientious and enthusiastic?

You will:
- demonstrate excellent planning, communication and organisational skills
- be able to enthuse and motivate all students
- have incredibly high expectations
- be an excellent team player
- believe that all students are capable of success.

The ability to teach Physics to A level would be advantageous but is not essential.

We are inviting applications from those looking for a part time role of between 0.3 FTE and 0.6 FTE and would ask applicants to clearly specify their preference within their application.

If you think you can make a difference to our students and relish the idea of joining our committed, supportive and highly motivated team in the delivery of excellence in education, then we want to hear from you!
