What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Science to join our existing team from 22nd April 2025. Due to the current postholder achieving another role within school, we are also seeking to recruit a Head of Year which could be coupled with this role of science teaching. We will, therefore, accept applications from candidates seeking either solely a science teaching position or a Head of Year role with science teaching. Candidates should stipulate within their application which of these roles they would be interested in.
For those interested in the Head of Year role, a TLR of 2B (£5643) is attached to this. The Head of Year role will include supporting the academic and social development of pupils within the year group. You will work as part of a strong and determined team to raise the standards of pupil achievement, behaviour and attendance across the year group by ensuring the provision of an effective programme of pastoral support. The full job description is included as part of this pack.
We welcome applications from teachers who feel they have the ability, enthusiasm and commitment to enhance the lives of students at our Academy; someone who has a true passion for the pastoral well-being of students as well as the drive and determination to make a significant, positive impact on our students ensuring all achieve their full potential. This post will be suitable for ambitious and enthusiastic teachers looking to make the next step in their career.
