What skills and experience we're looking for
t is an exciting time for Kingswood Secondary Academy. We are privileged to serve one of the most deprived communities in Northamptonshire, yet our fantastic students are now in the top third of Northamptonshire schools in terms of their academic outcomes. Contextually, this places our students in the top 5 secondary schools, out of 42, in the county. If you’d like to find out more about how we and our students work together to achieve this, and you are a hard-working individual who enjoys being part of a team, then see the details below about coming in for a ‘Walk and Talk’.
We are looking for an energetic and hardworking Teacher of Physics / Science to start in April or September 2025. We are interested in talking to both experienced colleagues looking for a new challenge as well as early career teachers.
Our ideal candidate will have a passionate and uncompromising commitment to pupil achievement and be a believer in the potential of all young people. In Science we have a fantastic team of professionals who have developed a thoroughly well planned and carefully sequenced curriculum, underpinned by a culture of hard work and enjoyment in science which has culminated in excellent GCSE results for the past three academic years.
We pride ourselves on the excellent support we give to not only our students, but each other too, and we are keen to find like-minded colleagues to join this collegiate team and who would further support our students’ ongoing success. If this sounds like a place you could also thrive, please apply and see how we can support your career in a friendly, and caring manner. We are particularly keen to speak to colleagues with a specialism in Physics, full time or part time considered.
