About the role: We have a great opportunity to join a highly effective, high performing Science Department at The Hundred of Hoo Academy. Vacancies in this team are rare, as colleagues thrive in an atmosphere rich in collaboration and support. This high performing team are often drivers to whole Academy improvement. We are looking for talented and passionate Teacher of Science, who truly wishes to inspire our pupils. Our successful candidate will specialise in Physics and/or Chemistry and have experience in both GCSE and A-Level. Due to increased numbers studying Triple Science and A-Level Physics and Chemistry we require a specialist to join our exceptional science team.

Working with our academy: In September 2011, The Hundred of Hoo converted to Academy status and just one year later, Ofsted judged the academy as “good with outstanding features”, recognising the relentless focus and ambition that we have. In September 2015 the academy welcomed its first Reception class thereby extending its age range to 4-year-old children. This exciting provision demonstrates the Academy’s sense of ambition to serve the community where pupils’ academic journey represents a cradle to university principle.

We are delighted to announce that following a recent Ofsted inspection in July 2018 the academy has been judged 'Good' with 'Outstanding' features in terms of our Early Years provision and effectiveness of Leadership and Management.

​​​Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2021, our Trust comprises 31 geographically organised academies (15 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating 20,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway.
