Teacher of Science (Physics) job summary
We are looking for a positive and engaging Teacher of Physics to work alongside our current Head of Physics and existing leadership team to develop the delivery of Physics at GCSE and A Level. The successful candidate will have the pleasure in working with our high attaining Science cohorts of Physics students across Year 12 and 13 to promote the very best outcomes. Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to motivate students through inspirational, personalised teaching is essential.

The uptake of Sciences at GCSE and all three A Levels is extremely high. A specialism in either Biology, Chemistry or Physics will be considered and the ability to teach A Level in Physics is essential. Applicants will be expected to teach across all three science disciplines at Key Stage 3 and 4. Applications are welcomed from NQTs and experienced practitioners. Outstanding support is provided for NQTs through our very supportive and structured NQT programme.
The department currently has twelve full time and four part-time members of staff. It has a wealth of experienced teachers who all work well together. Students study either AQA Triple or Double Science (Trilogy specification) at GCSE and A Level’s in Chemistry, Physics and Biology are offered.
