    Teacher of Science (Physics Specialist) job summary

     We are seeking an outstanding Science teacher, with a physics specialism. The successful candidate will teach across the age and ability range in this oversubscribed co-educational academy, with over 1,400 students on roll including 290 in our 6th form.  
     
    You would be joining a supportive, committed and experienced team who work hard to deliver innovative and enjoyable lessons.   In return for your hard work and commitment we offer exceptional support and training, and the rewards that come with teaching science to students who really want to learn.  
     
    The results in 2019 and 2018 placed us in the top 10% of science results nationally for GCSE and the sciences are a popular choice at AS and A Level with students studying the three subjects following the AQA specifications.  The 2020 results were centre assessed grades (CAGS) and were in line with the outstanding results in previous years.  The department achieves high academic success with many of our A-level students going on to higher education courses in Science, Technology and Medicine.
