Teacher of Science (Physics) job summary

The Campion School is committed to providing the best possible learning and working environment for both pupils and staff.

As we look to bolster our already vastly talented teaching staff, we currently have a vacancy for a Teacher of Science, with an ability to teach GCSE and A Level Physics as well as double Science at GCSE.

The standard of teaching throughout The Campion School is incredibly high and the Science Department is no different. Working passionately to inspire a real love and interest in Science, the team here consistently achieves great results at both GCSE and A Level. It is extremely important to us that our students are given maximum opportunity to pursue Science to the highest possible level and we currently have over 100 students taking Science at A-level, with many looking to take the subject through to university. We understand just how important a role we have to play in their future successes and what an important role the school has to support our teachers.

The Science Department is made up of ten teachers who have helped create a supportive and collaborative working environment, ensuring that the standards that we hold dear are consistently upheld.

You’ll be joining a team with a number of experienced teachers who will support your development. This makes this role ideal for an NQT or Science Teacher in the first few years of their career. Equally, it would also be a great opportunity for someone with more experience under their belt to progress further amongst some talented colleagues.

About us

When joining The Campion School, you’ll find a friendly environment that is geared to ensure that both staff and pupils are happy and equipped for success. This is evidenced by our extremely low staff turnover rates.

Whilst we are a Catholic school, we are very proud to have a diverse team that supports the ethos of the school. This contributes hugely to creating what we feel to be a welcoming place of work.

Outside the classroom, there is plenty of opportunity to get involved further. We have a keen focus on sport, music and charity work and all staff are welcome to get involved should they wish.
