The Governors of Holy Trinity School wish to appoint a Newly Qualified Teacher of Science. This post presents a good opportunity for a newly qualified practitioner to experience working in a successful department, developing their career in a good school.

Applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to the teaching of Science (any discipline considered). We require practitioners who have the enthusiasm, skill and ability to make a positive contribution to this motivated and successful team. The successful candidates will be committed to teaching across the 11-18 range. Experience of, or the potential to teach at A level is desirable, as is a second subject. Applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to excellent teaching and learning; to securing good or better outcomes for students; to developing student potential and skills from KS3 onwards, and to promoting the study of the subject at A Level.

In addition to teaching your primary and possibly a secondary subject across ages 11 to 18 there is an expectation that you may teach other subjects as directed in order to facilitate the delivery of the curriculum. Relevant support will be offered.

We offer:

• salary progression in line with our policy on pay and professional development
• engagement of all teaching staff in the TEEP programme to enhance our teaching and learning
• comprehensive induction programme
• coaching trios to share good practice
• a mentoring programme for NQTs
• an extensive programme of CPL
