Teacher of Science job summary
We are looking for a special person with great enthusiasm, energy and vigour to join us at the CE Academy. There is a requirement to be able to travel throughout the county, transporting children where necessary and this requirement may be at short notice.
Our Science team is a supportive, nurturing and talented department of people who are dedicated to the success of the team and our young people. The pupil age profile is Key Stage 3/4 and covers a wide ability range.

We specialise in the teaching of pupils many of whom present challenging behaviours and have been permanently excluded or are at risk of exclusion from their schools.

The CE Academy provides alternative education for young people who are permanently excluded from school, dual registered and for school age mothers.
We respond to the educational needs of pupils who would otherwise be attending mainstream/special schools.
We have positive expectations of the behaviour and performance of every pupil and foster an atmosphere of mutual respect between pupils and staff.
Pupils have personalised learning plans, academic expectations are high and related to pupils’ abilities. Pupils take appropriate external examinations.
