The Minster School is an Ofsted rated outstanding school, serving the local community of Southwell and surrounding villages. The school currently has 1600 students on role including 350 students in the sixth form and 40 students in the junior department. We are oversubscribed and are regularly in the top schools in Nottinghamshire for achievement and attainment.
Alongside serving our own students, we are a national support school, the home of East Midlands East Maths Hub and a National Teaching School. The Minster School is also the lead school in the Minster Trust for Education (MITRE).
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, ambitious and creative teacher of science. They will join a highly successful school, with an expectation to strive for excellence at every opportunity, commit to sharing practice with others. The successful candidate will:
be an excellent classroom teacher of science able to teach throughout the age and ability range
be passionate about science and be able to inspire a similar enthusiasm in our students
be committed to raising the attainment of all students, particularly those who are disadvantaged
demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
be committed to supporting and contributing to our school ethos of Succeeding Together and the values of Wisdom, Optimism, Resilience, Kindness and Service
