We are an oversubscribed 11-18 co-educational Foundation School with over 1,250 students on role. The school is part of the Post 16 Hitchin Consortium with over 800 students. The school is situated in the greenbelt on a 27-acre site with ample parking. Over the last couple of years, the school has seen over £6 million of investment in our school estate; a new 6th Form block, new learning support facilities, and a 3G pitch and pavilion. The school has also been able to invest in technologies to reduce our energy consumption.
At The Priory School we aim to embed our core values of Responsibility, Respect and Resilience by delivering outstanding learning opportunities and building meaningful relationships with our stakeholders. We have created a learning environment that raises students’ aspirations and promotes academic achievement.
New colleagues will be provided with the right balance of support, challenge and stimulation for both job satisfaction and career development. Teaching is a rewarding but pressured profession and we look to support the wellbeing of all our staff. ‘Staff are loyal and committed to the school. Leaders support them well. The systems and processes used in the school do not add to staff workload.’ Ofsted October 2022
