STEM Coordinator

STEM Coordinator – Role & Responsibilities

As STEM Coordinator, you will:· Oversee and enhance the quality of STEM provision across the curriculum, ensuring engaging and innovative learning experiences.· Lead the development of cross-curricular STEM projects, working collaboratively with departments to embed STEM into the wider curriculum.· Organise and promote STEM enrichment activities, including clubs, competitions, trips, and events to engage students beyond the classroom.· Build partnerships with local businesses, universities, and STEM organisations to provide real-world learning opportunities.· Support leadership in improving the quality of STEM teaching and learning, sharing best practices and the latest innovations in pedagogy.· Promote STEM pathways and careers, inspiring students to pursue further study and careers in STEM fields

KS4 Progress, assessment and intervention Coordinator

Progress, Assessment, and Intervention Coordinator – Role & Responsibilities

As Progress, Assessment, and Intervention Coordinator, you will:· Collaborate closely with the KS3 and KS4 Coordinators to design and implement effective intervention strategies for students at all levels.· Track and analyse student progress across Science, using data to identify trends and inform curriculum decision-making.· Review and lead on the creation of high-quality assessments at KS3 and KS4, ensuring they effectively measure student understanding and inform teaching.· Develop and implement strategies to accelerate student progress, ensuring all learners are supported and challenged appropriately.· Support staff in using assessment data to inform their teaching and differentiate effectively to meet student needs.· Implement, review and refine intervention programmes, ensuring they are impactful and targeted at key areas for improvement.· Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices in assessment and progress tracking.

KS3 Science Coordinator

KS3 Coordinator – Role & Responsibilities

As KS3 Coordinator, you will:· Oversee the quality of the KS3 curriculum, ensuring it is engaging, sequenced effectively, and meets the needs of all learners.· Lead the department on KS3 assessment, monitoring student progress and ensuring consistency in assessment practices.· Support Science leadership in enhancing the quality of teaching and learning across the department.· Co-ordinate the KS3 teaching rota, ensuring fair distribution of teaching and high-quality provision for all classes.· Share good practice and promote the newest innovations in science teaching and pedagogy.· Lead and co-ordinate appropriate interventions at KS3· Monitor behaviour of KS3 students in science.
