Teacher of SENCO job summary
We are looking to recruit a new SENCO to join our happy, successful and thriving team. The SENCO will be responsible for fulfilling the statutory duties associated with the role under the SEN Code of Practice and will lead and manage the school's learning support provision ensuring that all our vulnerable learners are supported and have access to the provisions and services they need. The school has an experienced and willing team of learning support assistants, mentors and behaviour specialists and a team of visiting professionals that support the children's welfare and mental and emotional health. It is essential that the SENCO forms close working relationships with our families of children with additional needs and is the in-school advocate for these children. Excellent interpersonal skills are required for this role as well as excellent skills of organisation, management and coordination of the team’s work.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop a provision of excellence and to ensure that all our vulnerable children receive the wrap-around care and support they need.
