The Hundred of Hoo Academy has a fantastic opportunity to appoint a Teacher of Social Sciences from Easter or September 2025. We are looking for an inspiring and committed teacher who will play a pivotal role in driving the progress and success of this key department. You’ll be joining the academy at an exciting time as we continue our journey of rapid improvement, building on recent successes. Whether you are an early career teacher or an experienced practitioner, we can offer bespoke CPD and opportunities for development both within the academy and across the wider Leigh Academies Trust.
Our ideal candidate will have the ability to teachSociology (AQA)at GCSE and A Level. Experience in deliveringPsychology (AQA)at A Level andCriminologywould be advantageous, but we are committed to supporting the successful candidate with training to upskill where necessary.
What are we looking for in you?TheTeacher of Social Scienceswill be a key contributor to The Hundred of Hoo Academy’s ambition to become a centre of educational excellence. You will deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students of all abilities, working creatively and collaboratively to develop innovative schemes of work and ensuring improved student outcomes across all key stages in this vital subject area.
