What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an outstanding, enthusiastic classroom practitioner who is able to teach across a variety of Social Science subjects within our Social Sciences Department (at either KS4 and KS5).

  • The departmentcurrently offers Sociology, Psychology, Politics and Health and Social Care at Level 2 and Level 3. This role would be likely to focus more on Psychology and Health and Social Care.
  • Knowledge of how progress is measured at KS4 and KS5 as well as strategies to effectively track, monitor and support all students. This will include effective intervention strategies that can be put in place to raise achievement.
  • Responsibility for reporting on student progress throughout the year and contributing to subject development plans, exams analysis and subject reviews.
  • Be a Form Tutor and contribute to the delivery of a carefully planned tutorial programme.
  • Work as part of an extremely high performing faculty and contribute to the ongoing success of all Social Science subject
  • To contribute exciting and innovative ways that Social Sciences can develop beyond the classroom both in terms of extra-curricular activities and links with the wider school community.
