Our ‘people-focused’ school produces young people keen to understand how other people tick and how we make and build connections. It’s no surprise therefore that Sociology and Psychology are hugely popular options for us. If you share that passion for understanding people and society then we’d love to welcome you to our team.

We know that our school is made up of the students and staff in partnership. Before you apply we encourage you to come and visit to get a flavour of this very special place and this rare opportunity to come and teach on our historic St John’s site.

What the school offers its staff

Magdalen College School has 475 years of history and a place at the centre of the Brackley community. We have an opportunity for a colleague who:

  • Wants the best for every individual
  • Is open to learning, reflection, feedback and self-improvement

In return we can offer:

  • A warm, welcoming, and ‘people-focused’ community of students, staff and parents
  • A school with good behaviour where every subject is valued

We are a 11-18 Secondary Academy in South Northamptonshire.
At Magdalen we are committed to providing a high quality of education for all of our students. We aim to motivate our students to develop a commitment to their work. We aim to provide an excellent quality of education for all our students and this is exemplified through our recent successes in the GCSE examination results which are significantly above national average for several years. Examination success is only a part of what we value at Magdalen: we believe in providing an all-round education and our enrichment activities, extra-curricular trips and foreign visits give opportunities for students to develop personally and to prepare them for their future lives. We offer an excellent level of pastoral support and our house system offers students opportunities for leadership as well as the chance to interact with students in a range of different year groups and contexts.
